In what's become a running theme this season, the Conestoga Christian Cougars gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They really took it to Alliance Christian for the full four quarters, racking up a 71-39 victory at home. 71 seems to be a good number for Conestoga Christian as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Paul Hurst was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 28 points and ten rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last eight times he's played. Another player making a difference was Josh Boutaugh, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Conestoga Christian and bumps their season record up to 8-5. As for Alliance Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Conestoga Christian won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Christian School of York at 6:30 p.m. on January 18th. Alliance Christian on the road again on Tuesday and play against Linville Hill at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd.
