Academy of International Studies proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by three) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a set and slipped past the Academy of Aerospace and Engineering Jets 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Dragons sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Academy of International Studies had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 18-25, 16-25, 25-17, 25-13, 15-6.
Academy of International Studies' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lisa Weinberg, who had ten aces and seven digs. Weinberg is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Angie Zuluaga- Gonzalez, who had 23 digs.
