Make it eight blowout wins for the Springstead Eagles this season. They breezed by Crystal River on the road to the tune of 69-23. The victory was familiar territory for Springstead who now have eight in a row.
Malanie Francis continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 15 rebounds. Francis is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. J'ziyah Munford was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven assists and four steals.
Springstead is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Crystal River, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
Springstead will be playing at home against Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Central is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Crystal River, they will head out on the road to face off against Citrus at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Citrus focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Friday.
