In what's become a running theme this season, the Piedmont Classical Bobcats gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 79-37 win over Cornerstone Charter at home. The victory was just what Piedmont Classical needed coming off of a 72-52 defeat in their prior game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Piedmont Classical to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cameron Anderson, who scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Anderson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Nick Daniel, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.
When it comes to explaining why Cornerstone Charter lost, one person who can't be blamed is Tristan Cole. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points along with five steals. That's the first time this season that Cole scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Spencer Knight, who scored two points along with eight rebounds.
Piedmont Classical has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-8 record this season. As for Cornerstone Charter, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.
Piedmont Classical will head out on the road to challenge College Prep & Leadership Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cornerstone Charter, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Bethany at 7:00 p.m. Bethany has now lost 13 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 29.
