Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Collegiate

Collegiate came tearing into Saturday's match with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Kingman Eagles by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Spartans also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Collegiate easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-19.

Carlyle Johnson paced Collegiate's offense, picking up ten kills. Johnson got some help from Clara Monahan and her eight assists. Khalyiah Evans controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Collegiate now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Kingman, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-22.

Coincidentally, Collegiate and Kingman will both be playing Pretty Prairie the next time they take the court. The Spartans will host the Bulldogs at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 1:30 p.m.
