The Western SciTech Aztec Warrior will head out on the road to take on the West Phoenix Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Western SciTech is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
Western SciTech can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent contest last Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 26-5 margin over Southwest Leadership Academy. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Western SciTech has scored all season.
West Phoenix suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Imagine Prep, falling 62-8. While losing is never fun, West Phoenix can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 214th, while Imagine Prep is ranked 100th).
Western SciTech pushed their record up to 7-0 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for West Phoenix, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.
Western SciTech couldn't quite finish off West Phoenix in their previous meeting back in January of 2022 and fell 24-22. Can Western SciTech avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
