The Cooper Jaguars extended their postseason success on Friday against the Southwestern Warriors. They walked away with a 24-14 victory over the Warriors. The win was familiar territory for Cooper who now have seven in a row.
Keagan Maher continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 121 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Cooper's defense and their three sacks. Austin Alexander was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself.
Cooper pushed their record up to 11-2 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.6 points per game. As for Southwestern, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-4.
Cooper will head out on the road to face off against Highlands at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Highlands will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak. Southwestern does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
