Football Game Preview: Pace Patriots vs. Navarre Raiders

Pace is 8-2 against Navarre since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Pace's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Thursday. They took their match with ease, bagging a 46-0 victory over Gulf Breeze. The Patriots have beaten the Dolphins the last eight times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Dolphins has come to flipping the script.

Amaya Pablo was her usual excellent self, throwing for 231 yards and four touchdowns while completing 83.3% of her passes, and also rushing for 39 yards and two touchdowns. What's more, she racked up 151.2 passer rating, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kenna Pacitti, who picked up 64 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Pace didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off six passes before the game was over. Maci McGinnis led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself. Josie Arthur got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Navarre never got on the board in their matchup two weeks ago, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Gulf Breeze last Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 46-7 win over the Dolphins. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 80th, while the Dolphins are ranked 312th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Navarre's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Pace, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.

Everything came up roses for Pace against Navarre in their previous meeting on March 3rd, as the squad secured a 34-0 victory. Will Pace repeat their success, or does Navarre have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
