The Knox Redskins's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They suffered a rough 63-41 loss at the hands of Tippecanoe Valley. Knox was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-14.
Knox's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rowen Jordan, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Myles Mclaughlin, who scored 12 points.
Riley Shepherd continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Tippecanoe Valley, scoring 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyler Johnson, who scored seven points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Knox dropped their record down to 5-11 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Tippecanoe Valley, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-6.
Knox won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Oregon-Davis at 7:00 p.m. on February 10th. Knox is facing Oregon-Davis at the right time seeing as Oregon-Davis is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Tippecanoe Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Lebanon at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Lebanon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Saturday.
