The Minooka Indians will face off against the Plainfield Central Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Minooka will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
On Wednesday, Minooka made easy work of Oswego East and carried off an 11-5 win. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by six runs or more this season.

Emma Best tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Olivia Boyd was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2025. Addisonn Crumly was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Minooka kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in nine consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Plainfield Central fell victim to Plainfield East and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Bengals by a score of 2-0. Considering the last time the Wildcats couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.
Kaylynn Howe was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she pitched six innings while giving up just two earned runs off eight hits.
At the plate, Plainfield Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Sommerfeld, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base.
Minooka's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Plainfield Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6.
Minooka got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 against Plainfield Central by a conclusive 18-0 score. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
