Riley Sutton was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 14 over six innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBI.
In other batting news, Leia Mokus was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Bella Ramirez, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Wayne Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
