Section 5 Genesee Region recap October 22, 2013
Attica moved up to 82 from 115 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Section 5 Genesee Region. The Blue Devils were able to move up by besting Notre Dame 28-14.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Attica beat the Fighting Irish 28-14. The victory was the fourth in a row for Rob Cusmano's team.
The Blue Devils' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Damian Marchetti threw for 44 yards and Matt Perry had 37 yards receiving. On the ground Perry contributed 159 yards.
Attica's dynamic duo of Marchetti and Perry proved to be unstoppable against Notre Dame, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Perry was a passing and rushing force as the Blue Devils topped Rick Mancuso's team. Perry's favorite target this week was Perry, who caught 2 passes for 37 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Oakfield-Alabama's Allen Chatt and Nick Tambe have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-8 quarterback Chatt has thrown for 709 yards this season, while Tambe has 10 catches for 285 yards. Perry from Attica leads the league in rushing with 918 yards.
Perry has rushed for 918 yards on 97 carries so far this year.
The Hornets led Section 5 Genesee Region in scoring this week after putting up 42 points on Holley.
