The Academy at the Lakes Wildcats will venture away from home to face off against the Pasco Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Academy at the Lakes is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season.

Academy at the Lakes lost 9-2 to Gulf two weeks ago. The matchup marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Pasco came up short against Lake Minneola on Monday, falling 15-4.

Abigail Grubbs put in work no matter where she played. She tossed four innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Grubbs wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Montelongo, who scored a run while going 1-for-4. Montelongo also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another was Sophia Torres, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Pasco's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Academy at the Lakes, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Pasco's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Academy at the Lakes hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .327. It's a different story for Pasco, though, as they've only averaged .144. Will they be able to contain Academy at the Lakes' hitters?
