Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead East Lincoln to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emma Montanari, who went 9 of 18 on her way to 27 points in addition to seven steals and six boards. The matchup was Montanari's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Lane Pethel, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 boards.
Foard's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 8-6. As for East Lincoln, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Foard will head out to take on North Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Lincoln knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 games -- so hopefully Foard likes a good challenge. As for East Lincoln, they will venture away from home to face off against St. Stephens at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
