The Canisius Crusaders''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They lost to St. Francis on the road by a decisive 41-24 margin. Canisius has struggled against St. Francis recently, as their game on Saturday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Canisius saw an underclassman step up: Elijah Kimble rushed for 128 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.1 yards per carry.
Terrence Pendergrass was a one-man wrecking crew for St. Francis as he rushed for 252 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. Those 252 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Pendergrass.
Canisius' loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 4-5. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.0 points per game. As for St. Francis, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.
Canisius does not have any more games scheduled as of now. St. Francis also has no future games currently scheduled.
