The Randolph County Tigers will square off against the Wadley Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Randolph County has given up an average of 12.7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
Randolph County's last matchup with Wellborn could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Wednesday. Randolph County lost 14-6 to Wellborn. Surprisingly, this marked the third straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Randolph County saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Creed Blankenship, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Those two hits gave Blankenship a new career-high. Another was Daniel Jones, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Wadley came into Wednesday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past Comer 12-2 on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won three games by eight runs or more so far this season.
Ty Taylor made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off seven hits. He has become a key player for Wadley: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 0-5 otherwise. Taylor was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, Wadley let Mason Wilkerson and Landon Gilliland run wild. Wilkerson scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances, while Gilliland went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Callan Hutchinson was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
Wadley's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Randolph County, they dropped their record down to 2-11 with the loss, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
Randolph County suffered a grim 12-4 defeat to Wadley when the teams last played back in February. Can Randolph County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
