Petrides's game last Wednesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. Everything went their way against American Christian School as Petrides made off with a 77-56 victory. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Despite the loss, American Christian School still got an impressive performance from Japhet Santiago, who scored 27 points. Santiago scored a full 48.2% of American Christian School's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Caleb Ritchwood was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
The victory got Petrides back to even at 1-1. As for American Christian School, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
Petrides will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Port Richmond at 6:00 p.m. As for American Christian School, they will head out on the road to face off against Harmony Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Harmony Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Thursday.
