Colman-Egan has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Howard Tigers at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Colman-Egan didn't have too much trouble with Dell Rapids at home as they won 48-31. Given Colman-Egan's advantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while Dell Rapids is ranked 96th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Howard didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Freeman on Monday, but they still walked away with a 51-47 victory.
Colman-Egan's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points per game. As for Howard, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
Colman-Egan couldn't quite finish off Howard in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 and fell 58-56. Can Colman-Egan avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
