The Quincy Orioles will head out on the road to take on the Jonesville Comets at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Quincy is hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses.
Quincy suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 63-31 loss at the hands of Springport. While losing is never fun, Quincy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 545th, while Springport is ranked 230th).
Meanwhile, Jonesville unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Thursday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 42-41 to Homer.
Quincy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Jonesville, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
Quincy came up short against Jonesville in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 42-33. Can Quincy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
