Basketball Game Preview: Golden View Classical Academy Sentinels vs. Aurora West College Prep Academy Spartans

The Golden View Classical Academy Sentinels will challenge the Aurora West College Prep Academy Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Golden View Classical Academy has four straight victories, Aurora West College Prep Academy has 12 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Monday, Golden View Classical Academy needed a bit of extra time to put away Denver Waldorf. They snuck past the Spartans with a 67-61 win. While the Sentinels didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Luke Chronowski was his usual excellent self, going 8 of 16 on his way to 29 points and seven rebounds. His evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Walker, who posted 15 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Aurora West College Prep Academy scored the most points they've had this season back in December of 2024, but it wasn't enough. They fell 59-48 to Sheridan. While the Spartans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Rams 15-9 in the first quarter.

Golden View Classical Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Aurora West College Prep Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.
