Cleburne Christian Academy extended the longest winning streak in TCAL Division II - District 5 (6 Man) this week by beating Wise County Christian HomeSchool, 51-6. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Lions.
Weatherford Express HomeSchool took down Newman International Academy 60-12 last week, the largest margin of any game. Joseph McCanless threw for 33 yards and two touchdowns, ran for 121 yards and caught two passes for 38 yards in the win.
Cleburne Christian Academy's dynamic duo of Aaron Midkiff and Josh Bernardy proved tough for the Warriors to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Midkiff threw for 190 yards and four touchdowns and Bernardy had 104 yards receiving. Jon Allen Balaban helped Cleburne Christian Academy's passing attack out by catching four balls for 55 yards.
Cleburne Christian Academy's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Lions feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Midkiff has thrown for 1427 yards and 24 touchdowns this season, while Bernardy has 36 catches for 819 yards. Midkiff also leads the league in rushing with 1253 yards.
