Austin Achieve Northeast had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were dealt a 91-35 defeat at the hands of Carroll on Saturday.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Carroll to victory, but perhaps none more so than Braedon Gomez, who scored 22 points along with five assists and three steals. The game was Gomez's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Milo Gonzales, who scored 14 points along with eight assists and four steals.
Austin Achieve Northeast's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Carroll, their victory bumped their record up to 12-6.
Austin Achieve Northeast does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Carroll and Lehman will face off at 1:30 p.m. on December 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Lehman will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1058th, while Carroll is ranked 289th).
