The Hurricane Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their sixth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Pine View, falling 92-62. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Friday (60), Hurricane still had to take the loss.
Hurricane lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Houston Homer, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Homer has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Mccauley, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Hurricane has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Pine View, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
Hurricane will be playing in front of their home fans against Cedar at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cedar is hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses. As for Pine View, they will head out on the road to take on Desert Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Desert Hills focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Wednesday.
