Crystal River will be defending their home turf for the first time on Thursday when they go up against Lecanto at 6:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Crystal River had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They were completely outmatched, falling 0-44 to Dunnellon. Crystal River were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-38.
Lecanto also just played their first game, also were on the road, and also didn't get the result they wanted. They lost to Citrus by a decisive 8-28 margin.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better score. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contest, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
