The Compass Charter Aviators's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their tenth straight loss. They took a serious blow against The Ambrose School, falling 71-34. While losing is never fun, Compass Charter can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while The Ambrose School is ranked 21st).
Despite the loss, Compass Charter still got an impressive performance from Thore Lucas, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Kellen Walbuck was another key contributor, scoring five points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Compass Charter has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. As for The Ambrose School, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-5.
Compass Charter will head out on the road to face off against Marsing at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Marsing has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for The Ambrose School, they will square off against Melba at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Melba will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something The Ambrose School surely won't give up without a fight.
