The Scott Eagles won the last time they faced the Pendleton County Wildcats, and things went their way on Friday too. Scott enjoyed a cozy 66-50 win over Pendleton County. The win made it back-to-back wins for Scott.
Connor Griffin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for him. Jon Evans was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Scott now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Pendleton County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Scott is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Harrison County at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th. One thing working in Harrison County's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches. Pendleton County won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Benton at 1:00 p.m. on January 6th. Benton presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Pendleton County in their respective states (Benton is ranked 20th in Illinois, while Pendleton County is ranked 175th in Kentucky).
