While losing is never fun, Walsh Jesuit can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while Archbishop Hoban is ranked 85th).
It was another big night for Jonas Nichols, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds for Archbishop Hoban. Another player making a difference was John Johnson, who scored 13 points along with two blocks.
Walsh Jesuit has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Archbishop Hoban, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.
Walsh Jesuit will head out on the road to square off against Lake Catholic at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Lake Catholic is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak. As for Archbishop Hoban, they will be playing at home against SPIRE Institute at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. SPIRE Institute is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
