Amherst had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They took their game against Merrill by a conclusive 34-3 score. Amherst was heavily favored coming into this game, and the results showcase why. This was the first game for both teams, giving Amherst a 1-0 record and starting Merrill off at 0-1.
Next week, Amherst take on St. Mary's Springs at 7:00 PM. As for Merrill, they will face of against Kewaskum.
