The Theodore Bobcats will head out on the road to face off against the Vestavia Hills Rebels at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Theodore will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 79th, while Vestavia Hills is ranked fourth).
Last Friday, Theodore came up short against Daphne and fell 51-39. Theodore has struggled against Daphne recently, as their matchup on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Theodore got a solid performance out of Jazmyn Bigham, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Vestavia Hills unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 39-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bob Jones.
Theodore's record now sits at 8-6. As for Vestavia Hills, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-2.
Theodore lost to Vestavia Hills on the road by a decisive 72-54 margin in their previous meeting back in November. Can Theodore avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
