The Fouke Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Osceola Seminoles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arkansas (Fouke is ranked 143rd, while Osceola is ranked 135th).
Even though Fouke has not done well against Smackover recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Fouke came out on top in a nail-biter against Smackover and snuck past 21-18. The victory was just what Fouke needed coming off of a 37-13 defeat in their prior match.
Meanwhile, everything went Osceola's way against Manila on Friday as Osceola made off with a 40-18 victory. The win was just what Osceola needed coming off of a 35-14 loss in their prior game.
Osceola can attribute much of their success to Keenen Jackson, who threw for 212 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Osceola also got help from Tyler Bell who showed off his sure hands for 114 receiving yards.
Their wins bumped Fouke to 6-5 and Osceola to 3-8.
Fouke took a serious blow against Osceola when the teams last played back in November of 2018, falling 62-7. Thankfully for Fouke, Kam Turner (who threw for 238 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.9 yards per attempt, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
