Randolph-Clay is 1-6 against the Hornets since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Randolph-Clay Red Devils will head out on the road to square off against the Pelham Hornets at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Randolph-Clay focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Randolph-Clay didn't have too much trouble with the Panthers at home as they won 57-42. The win was just what Randolph-Clay needed coming off of a 71-43 defeat in their prior contest.
Randolph-Clay's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Tyrion Smith, who scored 13 points along with six assists and four steals, and Je'Sus Daniels, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Daniels is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last four games he's played. Jaleen Gibson was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds.
Pelham can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They walked away with a 54-47 win over Bacon County.
Randolph-Clay is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. Pelham's record now sits at 8-10.
Randolph-Clay couldn't quite finish off the Hornets when the teams last played back in January of 2022 and fell 53-50. Can Randolph-Clay avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
