In what's become a running theme this season, the Johnson-Brock Eagles gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Lewiston 60-7 on the road. Winning may never get old, but Johnson-Brock sure is getting used to it with their 12th in a row.
Johnson-Brock's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Taryn Ottemann led the charge by scoring 15 points. Ottemann is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last five games she's played. Brooklyn Behrends was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Johnson-Brock pushed their record up to 12-1 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Lewiston, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-13.
Johnson-Brock will be playing in front of their home fans against Exeter-Milligan/Friend at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Exeter-Milligan/Friend will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Nebraska Rankings (they are ranked 176th, while Johnson-Brock is ranked 28th). As for Lewiston, they will head out on the road to square off against Lourdes Central Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
