After two games on the road, Marine City is heading back home. They will take on the Yale Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Marine City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Friday.
Last Friday, Marine City came up short against Clintondale and fell 50-40. While losing is never fun, Marine City can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 420th, while Clintondale is ranked 200th).
Marine City's loss came about despite a quality game from Liam Adams, who scored 17 points along with 9 rebounds. Adams is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Forest, who scored 7 points.
Meanwhile, Yale earned a 64-51 win over Sandusky on Friday. 64 seems to be a good number for Yale as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Marine City's win pushed their record up to 1-3, while Clintondale's bumped their own up to the opposite: 3-1.
Marine City might still be hurting after the 51-31 loss they got from Yale in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Will Marine City have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other basketball content.
