Make it five blowout wins for the Meadville Bulldogs this season. They put the hurt on Fort LeBoeuf with a sharp 73-47 win on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for Meadville as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Leading Meadville to victory were Lucas Luteran and Jack Burchard. Luteran scored 22 points along with eight steals and six rebounds, while Burchard scored 25 points along with seven steals and five assists. Burchard is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tykie Butler, who scored 12 points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Meadville's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-8. As for Fort LeBoeuf, they dropped their record down to 6-10 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Meadville will take on General McLane at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in General McLane's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests. As for Fort LeBoeuf, they will head out on the road to face off against Harbor Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Harbor Creek focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten last Tuesday.
