Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Phillips Wildcats walked away with it. They blew past the Eagles 73-42 on the road on Monday. The win was just what Phillips needed coming off of a 59-34 defeat in their prior contest.
Phillips was led to victory by LaKeeyah Barnes and Kamaria Sephus. Barnes scored 15 points, while Sephus scored 17 points. Barnes has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Akyla Williams, who scored six points.
Phillips is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 16-13 record this season. As for Dyett, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-15.
Phillips does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Dyett also has no future games currently scheduled.
