Baseball Recap: Tyler Takes a Loss

The Tyler Knights came up short against the Grafton Bearcats on Thursday and fell 9-5.

Brayden Neff and Gabe Jackson did some serious damage despite the final result: Neff went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Jackson went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Jackson has become a key player for Tyler: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 10-11 otherwise.

Tyler's loss dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Grafton, their victory bumped their record up to 17-15.

Looking ahead, Tyler will face off against Oak Glen at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Grafton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
