The Elgin Wildcats suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 84-25 loss at the hands of Hendrickson. Elgin has struggled against Hendrickson recently, as their matchup on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Elgin saw an underclassman step up: Trinity Martinez scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sabra Baker, who scored two points along with eight rebounds.
Elgin's defeat dropped their record down to 9-19. As for Hendrickson, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 21-7.
Elgin will head out on the road to take on East View at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hendrickson, they will be playing at home against Cedar Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cedar Creek is hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses.
