Baseball Recap: Arbor View Wins Going Away Against Silverado

While Arbor View put up some runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Silverado. The Arbor View Aggies put the hurt on the Silverado Skyhawks with a sharp 9-0 win. For the Aggies, this counts as revenge for the 11-7 victory the Skyhawks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2023.

Austin Long made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in March of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Jase DeSantis was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sei Valdez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Arbor View hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Silverado struck out eight times.

Arbor View's win ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-0. As for Silverado, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arbor View will face off against Centennial at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Silverado, they will take on Southeast Career Tech at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Silverado is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.
