The Jackson Academy Raiders stacked a 17th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 80-48 win over Madison Central. Winning may never get old, but Jackson Academy sure is getting used to it with their tenth in a row.
It was another big night for Mike Williams, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Williams, who scored 11 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
Jackson Academy's win bumped their record up to 24-1. As for Madison Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jackson Academy will square off against Presbyterian Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Mississippi (Presbyterian Christian is ranked 20th, while Jackson Academy is ranked sixth). Madison Central on the road again on Tuesday and play against Murrah at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. The timing isn't great for Murrah: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Madison Central has snatched up six consecutive wins on the road.
