Volleyball Recap: Central Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Central had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Allatoona Buccaneers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Lions have posted since October 2, 2024.

Central was actually outscored in aggregate across those three sets (60-58), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-20, 17-15.

Macey Mount paced Central's offense, picking up 17 kills. Mount got some help from Abigayle Rowland and her 13 assists. Rowland also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Katelynn Hunter, racking up two apiece.

Central's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Allatoona, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central will venture away from home to square off against Columbus at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Allatoona, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Harrison at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
