Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia hasn't had much luck against Carrollton recently, but that could start to change  on Friday. The Trojans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hawks  at 7:00  p.m.

 Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia's  defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of  Grant Fricke, who rushed for 136 yards and one  TD while picking up 8.5 yards per carry, and  Jakob Browning, who rushed for 72 yards and one  score on only five carries. The Trojans are 3-1 when  Fricke posts 80 or  more  rushing yards, but 1-3 otherwise.
 Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Carrollton). They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Beardstown 62-6. The high-scoring effort was just what the Hawks needed considering they were shut out in their previous   matchup.
 Carrollton has  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 32.8 points over those games. As for Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
 Things could have been worse for Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took  a  20-6 loss to Carrollton when the teams last played  back in September of 2024. Can the Trojans avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
