Belgrade is a perfect 10-0 against Skyview since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the Falcons at 3:00 p.m. Belgrade will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Belgrade proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 11) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Great Falls. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted since May 8, 2025.
Mallory Zimmer looked comfortable as she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Belgrade saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rylee Feight, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that Feight has hit this season.
Belgrade hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 19 runs the game before, Skyview was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Billings West.
Belgrade's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Skyview, they dropped their record down to 1-2 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Skyview's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Belgrade has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.6 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Skyview, though, as they've been averaging only 3 strikeouts. Will Belgrade keep running through batters, or will the Falcons buck the trend?
Belgrade skirted past Skyview 7-6 in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
