Softball Recap: Richardson Has No Trouble Against Irving

Richardson made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Irving, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Richardson Eagles blew past the Irving Tigers 11-1 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Richardson and bumps their season record up to 8-12. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Irving, they moved to 7-12-1 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Richardson will have a chance to go back-to-back against Irving: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
