This season hasn't been kind to the Desert Mirage RAMS, who are still winless after their fifth game. They were dealt a 65-32 loss at the hands of Cathedral City on Friday. Desert Mirage was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Cathedral City apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Several RAMS players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Luis Jimenez, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds. Those 14 rebounds set a new season-high mark for Jimenez. Another player making a difference was Edy Espinoza, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Desert Mirage's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-5. As for Cathedral City, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-7.
Desert Mirage will take on West Shores at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Shores comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Cathedral City won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Lakeside at 12:00 p.m. on December 9th. Lakeside is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52.6 points per game.
