Maple Heights was led to victory by Brooklyn Dillard and Jovannah Nichols. Dillard scored 12 points, while Nichols scored 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Nichols has scored all season. Morgan Wilson was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Maple Heights is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Shaw, they bumped their record down to 2-9 with that defeat, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Maple Heights will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against East at 4:30 p.m. East comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Shaw, they will take on Villa Angela-St. Joseph at 12:45 p.m. on Monday. Villa Angela-St. Joseph is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
