The Rush-Henrietta Royal Comets had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Churchville-Chili 84-52 on the road. That's two games straight that Rush-Henrietta has won by exactly 32 points.
Rush-Henrietta was led to victory by Avery Council and Jalen Taggart. Council scored 19 points along with eight assists and five rebounds, while Taggart scored 31 points along with eight rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Taggart has scored at least a third of Rush-Henrietta's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Myles Collins-Howard, who scored seven points.
Rush-Henrietta pushed their record up to 10-8 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.3 points per game. As for Churchville-Chili, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rush-Henrietta will take on Penfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rush-Henrietta has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Churchville-Chili, they will play host again and welcome Spencerport, where tip off is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in New York (Churchville-Chili is ranked 436th, while Spencerport is ranked 453rd).
