Karsyn Hudacky spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kendall Gaunt, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.
Meanwhile, South Garner fell victim to Willow Spring and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Storm, falling 18-0.
Cleveland's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for South Garner, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
