After a string of six wins, the Boulder Creek Jaguars's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were outmatched by Perry at home and fell 93-52. Boulder Creek was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 53-23.
Andrew Bhesania and Landon Brewer certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Bhesania scored 18 points along with six rebounds, while Brewer scored 15 points. Bhesania scored a full 34.6% of Boulder Creek's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Mick Riordan, who scored ten points.
Boulder Creek's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-2. As for Perry, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Boulder Creek will take on Desert Pines in a holiday battle at 3:00 p.m. on Monday at. Hopefully Desert Pines focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight two weeks ago. Perry will be home for the holidays to greet Pinnacle at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Pinnacle is ranked 27th, while Perry is ranked 14th).
