Trinity Christian Academy has struggled against University Christian recently, as their contest on Thursday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Trinity Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Jordan Martinez scored 13 points along with four steals. Martinez has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played.
University Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was BRYANT BOYKIN out in front who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was KARRINGTON JOHNSON, who scored 11 points.
Trinity Christian Academy bumped their record down to 9-6 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for University Christian, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-8.
Trinity Christian Academy will be playing at home against Zarephath Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for University Christian, they will head out on the road to take on IMG Academy White at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. IMG Academy White has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 8.
