After losing to the Seneca Valley Screamin' Eagles the last time they met, the Quince Orchard Cougars decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Quince Orchard blew past Seneca Valley 53-30. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Quince Orchard has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Seneca Valley lost on Thursday, one person who can't be blamed is Bryan Sowell. Despite the final result, he scored 14 points along with nine rebounds. That's the first time this season that Sowell pulled down eight or more rebounds.
Quince Orchard's win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-1. As for Seneca Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Quince Orchard will finish 2023 at home by hosting River Hill at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. River Hill knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully Quince Orchard likes a good challenge. Seneca Valley and Loch Raven will round out the year against one another at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday at. Loch Raven will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
